Ummm, naalala ko lang. Kwento sa ‘min ng isang prof ko…
May kaibigan siya. Prof din. Pero sa kapitbahay naming mayamang unibersidad nagtuturo. Naikwento lang sa kanya ng kaibigan niyang ito ang tungkol sa nabasa nitong paper (reflection or reaction paper ata yun, basta tungkol sa isyung panlipunan) ng isang estudyante roon.
Ang sabi nung estudyante, dapat daw, ang mahihirap na tao, mawala na lang sa mundo. Mga pabigat lang sila. Di ko na matandaan ang exact words, pero basta, tungkol iyon sa mahihirap – pananaw ng mayaman na ang mahihirap ay mga walang silbi, walang kabuluhan, dapat ay mawala na lang sila.

Mabubuhay ba kayo kung wala ang mahihirap na nagpapagod, nagpapawis, gumagawa, nagsisilbi para sa inyo?
Kung makapanghusga tayo ng mahirap, ng ‘masa’, ganun-ganun na lang. Hindi dapat ganito. Ang mahihirap — biktima lang sila ng sistema, pinagkaitan lang ng tadhana. Walang taong gustong maghirap. Sino’ng may gustong magpalabuy-laboy sa lansangan? Sino’ng may nais na magpaalila o magpakatulong? Sino’ng may hangad na kumalam ang sikmura sa gutom? Dahil sa mga kamalasang tinatamo sa buhay, sa udyok ng pangangailangang mabuhay, ang mahihirap ay walang mapagpilian kundi ang magpaalila, ang gumawa ng labag sa kanilang kalooban at, ang nakalulungkot pa ay maging ng labag sa batas.

Huwag nating basta-basta minamata, hinuhusgahan, inaalipusta ang mga nakabababa sa atin. Hindi nila ginusto iyon. Walang may gustong maging mahirap, walang gustong magdusa. Maswerte tayo kung tayo ay nakakakain ng 3 beses sa isang araw, kung tayo’y may bahay na natitirhan – habang ang iba, nasa kariton, sumisilong sa kung saan-saan, namamalimos, naghahalungkat sa basurahan ng makakain, tapos ay nilalait pa natin. Hindi dapat basta-basta sinisisi sa tao ang kinasasapitan ng kanyang buhay – maraming mga kabulukan at kalupitan ang sistema.

Meron talagang mahirap, merong mayaman. Kung hindi man imposible, e mahirap iyong maging pantay-pantay ang lahat. Ang sa akin lang: sige mayaman ka nga, ako mahirap - pero wala namang pang-aapi, pang-aalipusta, pagyurak ng pagkatao. Hindi lang naman ikaw ang nilalang ni Lord, pati naman ako, tao, di ba? Siguro, kaya di na rin ako marunong at maalab sa pagsulat ay dahil sa tamad na akong magbasa. Yung tipong isa o dalawang pages pa lang, antok na ako… Hay… At saka, busy kasi sa acads…

Wala nang ibang magandang sors ng inspirasyon kundi ang buhay, ang tao… Then, finally, magsulat ka nang regular. Mag-diary ka o kaya ay heto nga, magblog. Basta regular mong gawin ang mga bagay na ito, masasanay ka, mahahasa ka sa pagsulat…
